Description: Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys crashed the Cajun music scene a few years ago and the place is still reeling. While the members of this band are firmly dedicated to preserving traditional Cajun music, they are also very innovative within what their mentor Dewey Balfa described as "the cultural guidelines". They constantly push the edge, raising the level of musicianship to hair-raising heights.
