LUZIANNE? ETOUFFEE with BEEF Steps: Brown 1 lb. of cubed or ground meat in a 4 to 5 quart pot. Drain. Add 4.5 cups of water and 1 stick of butter or margarine to meat. Bring to a boil. Add Luzianne Etouffee while stirring. Empty 1/2 of the red pepper packet into Luzianne Etouffee. Put remainder aside. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Taste Luzianne Etouffee, and, if desired, season with remaining red pepper from packet and additional table salt. Cover and continue to simmer for 5 more minutes. Serves 4.
LUZIANNE? ETOUFFEE with SEAFOOD Steps: In a 4 to 5 quart pot, bring 4.5 cups water and 1 stick of butter/margarine to a boil. Add Luzianne Etouffee while stirring. Empty 1/2 of the red pepper packet into Luzianne Etouffee. Put remainder aside. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 18 minutes. Meanwhile, cube 1 lb. of uncooked fish fillet, shrimp (raw peeled) or crawfish tails. Taste Luzianne Etouffee, and, if desired, season with remaining red pepper from packet and additional table salt. Cover and continue to simmer for 7 more minutes. Serves 4.
