SPICY MARINATED SHRIMP Ingredients: 1 clove garlic, minced 1 green onion, finely chopped 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1-1/2 teaspoons TABASCO® Garlic Pepper Sauce 2 tablespoons ketchup 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard salt to taste 2 pounds medium shrimp, cooked, peeled and deveined Steps: In large bowl, combine all ingredients except shrimp. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate 4 to 6 hours or overnight. Remove to serving bowl and serve with toothpicks. For a more elegant presentation, skewer each shrimp with a toothpick from tail to head, making a crescent shape, and arrange on platter. Makes 30 to 40 shrimp.
SAUSAGES IN WINE Ingredients: 1/2 pound Kielbasa 1/2 pound Italian sweet sausage 1/2 pound Italian hot sausage 1/2 pound brockwurst (ground veal sausage) 5 green onions, minced 1/2 cup dry white wine 1 teaspoon TABASCO® Garlic Pepper Sauce 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried ZATARAIN'S® Parsley Flakes. Steps: With sharp knife, cut sausages into l/2-inch pieces. In deep skillet, over medium-high heat, cook Italian sausage pieces 3-5 minutes or until lightly browned. Drain. Add remaining sausage pieces and green onions and cook 5 additional minutes. Reduce heat to low, add wine, TABASCO® Garlic Sauce and parsley, if desired. Simmer 8 to l0 minutes, stirring every 2 to 3 minutes to be sure all sausage pieces are flavored with wine. Remove from heat and pour into chafing dish. Sausages may be frozen for future use. Serve with toothpicks. Makes 4 cups.
FIERY GARLIC BAGEL THINS Ingredients: 5 bagels 1/2 cup butter 6 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon TABASCO® Garlic Pepper Sauce salt to taste Steps: Preheat broiler. Slice bagels crosswise into fifths. In small saucepan, melt butter with garlic and simmer over very low heat 2 minutes or until garlic has softened. Add lemon juice, TABASCO® Garlic Sauce and salt to taste. Liberally brush one side of each bagel with lemon-garlic butter. Broil bagels on one side until golden. Watch carefully; this takes only a minute. Turn bagels over and broil until golden. Serve hot or store in an air-tight container. Makes 25 bagel thins.
