Description: Bosco’s Italian Café is proud to offer an original savory King Cake! The Crawfish King Cake is the creation of one of Bosco’s chefs, Eileen Bevis-Bennett. A sixth generation New Orleanian, Eileen has been serving this dish to family and friends for 15 years. Now, thanks to a collaboration with Tony Bosco, you can enjoy it too.
Designed to trick the eye and tease the senses this King Cake is made with puff pastry and baked, just like its inspiration, in the shape of a ring. It is filled with a creamy blend of Louisiana crawfish tails, pepper jack cheese, and just the right spices and herbs. Parmesan cheese replaces the sugar in the symbolic Mardi Gras colors of Purple (Justice), Green (Faith) and Gold (Power) and sour cream is used for the icing. This dish is served hot so you won’t find a baby but that won’t stop you and your guests from wanting another.
Unit Size (Small): 4 (8oz.) Cakes
Unit Size (Large): 48 oz.
Heating Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees, remove King Cake from box, place on baking pan, cook for about 25-30 minute (for large) or 15-20 minutes (for small) or until hot throughout. Transfer to a serving platter. “Ice” with sour cream then sprinkle with the colored Parmesan cheese.
