Ok, I sent in a review earlier being disappointed about the size of the fish, BUT, I fried some the same day I received it and OMGGGGG! Q: How long does IQF catfish last once frozen from the processing plant? How often is the IQF fish shipped from the processing plant to your facility before shipment to the customer. I ask these questions because we experienced purchasing IQF fish from another distributor where the boxes containing the fish had a processed date indicating that it was 10 month old before the order was shipped to me. I would like order fish with a recent process date to ensure the freshness of the fish after it goes into my freezer for future use. What can I expect from your company regarding my concerns? Thanks!

A: Guidry’s IQF catfish has a manufacturer-stated frozen shelf life of one year when continuously stored at 0°F or below. Our deliveries from the processor vary according to customer demand and product availability, so we cannot guarantee a particular processing date without checking the inventory currently on hand. If the processing date is important to you, please contact us before ordering. We can check the Julian date code on the current lot so you know its age before making your purchase. Once received, keep the fillets continuously frozen and follow the date printed on the package for the best quality.

Q: Are the fillets individually wrapped?

A: No the fillets are not individually wrapped. All fillets are frozen one sealed bag.

A: All perishable items are shipped frozen on dry ice , to be delivered frozen.
