CAJUN SHEPERD'S PIE Ingredients: 8 cups seasoned, buttered mashed potatoes 3 cups cooked ground meat (beef, pork or turkey) 2 cups onion, chopped 1 cup bell pepper, diced 1/2 cup celery, minced 4 Tbsp. margarine 1/2 cup bread crumbs 4 eggs, beaten 2 Tbsp. Crystal® Hot Sauce 2 Tbsp. Crystal® Worcestershire Sauce 2 Tbsp. Crystal® Original Steak Sauce 2 tsp. garlic salt or REX® Garlic Granulated 1 tsp. black pepper 3 Tbsp. melted butter Steps: Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt margarine in a heavy skillet and sauté the vegetables until the onions are clear. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked vegetables and cooked meat. Add the bread crumbs, Crystal Hot Sauce, Worcestershire, Steak Sauce, garlic salt, and pepper. Mix well. Heavily grease a 10" x 15" baking pan. Press one half of the mashed potatoes into the pan to form a bottom crust. Spread the meat mixture over the potato crust. Cover with the remaining potatoes and smooth over. Brush the top potato crust with the melted butter and bake for one hour, or until the top is golden brown. Allow to set for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite brown gravy or sauce.
