Married to Cajun Queen and spent many years in Louisiana eating cajun gumbo. This recipe uses a very thick roux compared to Prejeans and the chicken is more shredded than chunks/pieces. Taste is very good and with a little Tabasco and other seasoning to taste, your non-cajun guests/family will love it!

I'm a Louisiana girl living up North. I found this website by accident and I am so glad I did. The chicken and sausage gumbo reminds me of home cooking; ya'll know exactly what I mean! For those of us who don't have large families, I wish Cajun Grocery would consider selling individual servings or servings for two , especially when you're trying it out for the first time.
