Description: Most popular and famous of Cajun dishes is jambalaya. This contains Louisiana rice, vegetables, and a special blend of spices. Prepared with chicken, sausage, or seafood, it's a classic Cajun meal.
Unit Size: 8 oz.
Cooking instructions: Add 1 pound of smoked sausage, seafood, chicken, pork or beef. In 2 ½ quart pot saute meat in 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil (seafood and smoked sausage do not need to be pre-cooked). Chop meat or seafood into bit size pieces, drain well. Add package of Ragin Cajun Fixin’s Jambalaya Mix, 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, and 2 ½ cups water. Stir well and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer on low heat for 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes before serving.
