A: You can remove it if you would like, taking the fat off is a preference for some customers, but it is totally up to you!

A: We do not measure the length of our alligators, they are frozen and prepackaged curled for easier transport. You may freeze until the day before you are ready to prepare, it will need time to thaw so I recommend taking it out the day before. All of our items can be shipped anywhere in the United States.

A: Cooking instructions are not included for the alligators. Cooking will be based on preference. You can fry, smoke, or grill it.

A: Yes, they do come skinned.

A: Length varies on the alligators, They are slightly curled for easier shipment and cooking. A medium sized gator is roughly 3 - 4 foot weighing about 9 - 11 pounds and the small is roughly 1 - 2 foot long weighing 5 - 8 pounds.

Quick shipment with plenty of dry ice in cooler. Was advertised as a small whole gator 5-9 lbs. What we received was a very nicely skinned almost 10lb gator. My kids are going to love it on the grill.

Cajun Grocer's customer service is FANTASTIC! I had no clue what I was doing when ordering a whole gator and they walked me through the whole process. How long to thaw, when to purchase and ship, how much meat it would yield and every other aspect. They ship to Iowa where a couple competitors wouldn't. The gator was a bit intimidating coming out of the box but just like working with any other piece of meat. The group loved it and it was a great experience.
