CajunGrocer.com ships authentic Louisiana foods nationwide using professional frozen and perishable shipping methods. Many of our products require careful packing, insulated coolers, dry ice or gel packs, and timed shipping schedules so your order has the best chance of arriving in excellent condition.

Perishable food shipping is different from ordinary package delivery. Weather, carrier delays, delivery timing, and transit speed can all affect frozen and refrigerated products, which is why we clearly explain the shipping options below before you place your order.

Deep Freeze Packaging

We use ample dry ice and a reusable, custom-branded insulated cooler to help your products arrive frozen and in excellent condition, whether shipped Ground or Overnight.

For orders that include perishable products, the quoted shipping rate includes the foam cooler and dry ice costs. There are no hidden packaging fees added later.

Express shipping offers the safest option for frozen and perishable foods. All Express methods, including Saver (3 Day), 2-Day, and Overnight, are guaranteed shipping methods.

Shipping Options & Rates

  • We offer Ground, Saver (3 Day), 2-Day, and Overnight delivery from Louisiana to all 50 U.S. states.
  • Perishable orders to Alaska or Hawaii are only available via the Overnight delivery method.
  • There are no extra charges for shipments to Hawaii or Alaska.
  • Shipping rates are determined by the total weight of your order and the destination zip code, based on current UPS and FedEx tables.
  • For orders that include perishable products, the quoted shipping rate includes the foam cooler and dry ice costs.
  • If no one is home to receive your package, we recommend shipping to a business address to help ensure timely delivery.

Perishable Foods

There is no minimum weight requirement for perishable orders.

Perishable items do not ship over the weekend because frozen and refrigerated foods should not sit in a carrier facility longer than necessary. This shipping schedule helps protect product quality during transit.

  • Express Saver ships Monday and Tuesday only.
  • 2-Day ships Monday through Thursday.
  • Overnight ships Monday through Friday.
  • Saturday delivery may be available depending on the carrier.

If you select Ground shipping for perishables, your package will be delivered within 9 business days or less.

If you need your package by a specific date, please choose one of the Express methods: Saver (3 Day), 2-Day, or Overnight.

Ground vs. Express Shipping for Frozen Items

Ground shipping can be a practical option for many customers, but it carries more transit risk for frozen items because the package may spend more time in the carrier network.

Express shipping is recommended when timing matters, when ordering for a holiday or event, when shipping to a warm-weather destination, or when you want the strongest protection for frozen and perishable products.

Important note on frozen items: No refunds or reships will be issued for frozen items shipped via Ground or Home Delivery.

Ground and Home Delivery methods involve more time in transit. If you are concerned about timely arrival or frozen condition, please select an Express shipping method to help ensure your products remain frozen.

What Happens If No One Is Home?

Frozen and perishable food shipments should be brought inside as soon as possible after delivery. If no one is usually home during the day, we recommend shipping to a business address or another location where the package can be received promptly.

Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information so you can monitor delivery progress and make arrangements to receive your package.

Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number by email so you can follow your shipment in real time.

No Backorders

If an item is out of stock, it will be unavailable for purchase until it is restocked.
