- 8 ounces of unsweetened pineapple chunks
- 8 ounces of tomato sauce
- 4 cups of vegetable oil for frying
- 1 cup of pineapple juice
- 1/3 cup of cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup of light corn syrup
- 1/3 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- Cooked rice
- Butter for cooking
