Savoie's Classic Pork Boudin 14 oz

This traditional Cajun sausage is made up of pork, rice, and seasoning. Boudin (pronounced many different ways, but commonly BOO-DEHN) is a special treat among Louisiana households! Spice up your next reception or dinner party by serving boudin with crackers for a great appetizer!

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: FOR ALL METHODS BELOW, OBTAIN AT LEAST 160 DEGREES BEFORE EATING!

Microwave: Wrap one link in damp paper towel.  Heat for one minute on high or to desire heat level.

Steam: Fill pot with enough water to cover bottom (about half inch). Heat on high until steam forms.   Lower temperature and place boudin in pot.  Cover and heat for 2 minutes or until warm.  Do not submerge boudin in water.

BBQ Pit:  Roll link with foil and heat on pit.   Or, place boudin directly on grill and cook until outer casing is crisp.

Oven or skillet:  Heat slowly until skin becomes crisp.

I've tried every brand under the sun and this is BY FAR my favorite! I like to put em in the oven with a dash of olive oil so they come out with that crispy skin.

Learned to eat and enjoy Louisiana food as child when Dad was stationed at Fort Polk. We went to Lake Charles once a month to visit family who also stationed there, went shoppjng and always ate a nice restaurant as a treat.
