- 2 cups yellow grits (not the instant kind) cooked according to package directions
- 3 large eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 lb freshly grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 stick butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
To the cooked grits, add the eggs, cheese, milk and butter. Season to taste. Cook, stirring, until all is blended and the cheese and butter are completely melted. Pour into a 2-quart baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with paprika before serving. Makes about 10 servings.
